Ebook About
Relationships aren’t rocket science. If they were, I might stand a chance of figuring one out. Elijah Saying I've had a crush on my best friend's older brother, Pax, most of my life is like saying the big bang was just an explosion. It's true, but I'm not sure that quite captures the essence of its true enormity.I know he's only hanging out with me because I'm new in town and getting my PhD doesn't leave me with much time to make friends. And even if it did, my strength is mathematics, not friend-making. What I don't understand is why he kissed me... why he seems to want to keep kissing me. I don't think my advanced physics knowledge is going to help me figure this one out. But I think for once I'm okay with not knowing, as long as Pax and I don't know together. Pax He's still the awkward Nerdlet I remember...he's also probably the cutest, most tempting man I've laid eyes on. I know I should keep my hands off him, but this thing between us is like a force of nature. I want to be his first everything. He says we're nothing more than atoms crashing into each other. I'm no scientist but I don't think either of us are braced for the explosion. **** Rocket Science is a stand-alone MM romance featuring an inexperienced nerd, a cocky player, and a satisfying HEA

Book Rocket Science (Love Logic Book 1) Review :

Rocket Science is fluff. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Especially when said fluff is entirely honest and out about its own fluffiness. So, this was a 100% cute and feel-good story. I chose it as a comfort-read. I wanted sweet and simple, nerd+tattooed hunk, hot shenanigans and safe predictability. And Rocket Science hit the spot. Cute and sexy with a HEA.I liked this read. I liked the characters, even it they weren’t all that well developed. The story line was totally predictable which was exactly what I wanted. But – and I never thought I’d say this – the book would have benefited from a little less sexytimes and a little more story. Now, I wasn’t expecting anything profound, I didn’t want substance. But the supporting characters were pretty great and I would have loved to read more about them and their interactions with Elijah and Pax.Instead, there was this total focus on the Pax-Elijah s*x-bubble.Don’t get me wrong, I like to read about D just as much as the next girl. But it’s usually a win if the nooky is a natural part of the story line, instead of having a hump-fest sparingly sprinkled with story. So because of that, it was a bit of an uneven read. I really enjoyed the beginning where Elijah and Pax circled around each other. All of the I-want-him-but-he’s-my-brother’s-best-friend angst from Pax and the He’s-so-hot-but-he’s-just-hanging-with-me-out-of-sympathy anxiety from Elijah. It was sweet. But then the shenanigans began, and granted, it was fun at first. But I got bored pretty fast because it just went on and on.Finally, the story started up once more, and I crushed on the book all over again. And, even with its ups and downs, my overall impression of this book is still that of a super sweet pick-me-up.There’s no doubt that Neuhold is a great writer and talented storyteller. A nerd meeting a (in essence) jock is a somewhat silly and clichéd trope, but she still managed to entertain and engage. So if you’re looking for shallow, feel-good entertainment I definitely recommend Rocket Science. Despite the high shag percentage.
I've had this book on my Kindle for at least a year. It was one of "those" books that I was reluctant to start, because I wanted to savour it and save it for a time when I felt I'd earned the time-out to read something I was absolutely sure to love.Well what a tremendous let down this was.I've now pushed on until 56% and the shenanigans and sexy times are just unable to hold my attention any longer.I love sweet, nerdy, innocent characters in the books I choose. Nerd/jock is by far one of my favourite tropes, but oh, my word, this story has such a shallow plot that I'm finding myself more frustrated and irritated than anything.I can accept that the sheltered, 23 year old Elijah is out of his depth in the experience department and I loved that he'd had this crush on Friend's big Bro, like, forever... and I was excited to see how this would play out.But 🤦🏻‍♀️ Pax — 31 years old — totally behaves like a high school kid. I would honestly expect that a guy of this age and experience would display slightly more maturity and self control. This guy is just shallow with absolutely no personality... I fail to see what continues to draw Elijah to him, except the physical.(but then, having reached 23 with so little exposure to sexual things, he'd have probably been head over heels for any guy that showed him a bit of attention.)So, no. I might (eventually) try to finish the book and offer the benefit of the doubt, but right now, I have better books to read; better things to do.Sorry, guys. Hope it all works out for you, but I'm not sure I give a toss.
